We had an amazing night on the 24th of April 2013 at the Arancini Brothers Factory Café in Kentish Town. Our first Raw Food Pop Up Restaurant YAY! Thanks everyone for coming making the night absolutely amazing! And welcome back to our next one. Our next one will probably be in September as Bruna is having a baby end of May.
We were fully booked. In fact we were over booked and even had to turn down people. The lovely people coming were a real mixture of all sorts of foodies. For some people it was their first experience of raw food and others had been into raw food for years. We wanted to create a menu that would please everyone. The food we served was delicious as well as super healthy and it seemed like everyone were enjoying both the food and themselves.
We served a 4 course meal.
We welcomed the guests with a yummy Kombucha Cocktail which they enjoyed together with the first course of the night: A nut cheez platter. We had 3 different kind of nut cheez's. A soft cashew cheez flavored with garlic and herbs - absolutely divine. An almond cheez with onion and chives - scrumptious. Finally Bruna excelled herself with a cheddar style cashew cheez. All served with fresh fruit, flax and buckwheat crackers, fig and aniseed paste, and a probiotic boosted & fermented pear relish.
Our second course was equally delicious. Green courgette canelloni with sundried tomato, goji berry and ginger. white truffle pine nut cream and a minty pistachio pesto. No picture of this folks. I get too excited when I prepare foods that I forget to take pictures. It was lovely though.
We had a little trouble naming our main course. In the end we settled for gourmet burger. However there were no burger in site. Onion and buckwheat bread filled with grated veggie burger, fresh salad, tomato and herbs, yummy mayo, goji and papaya ketchup, marinated aubergine slices and a whole lot of love. This was accompanied with various sauerkrauts and kimchis, a green salad, yummy onion rings, and last but not least amazing sweet potato crispy chips done to perfection in the dehydrator. What an amazing feast of tastes and textures.
We finished off with a raw food chocolate cake fused with a hint of strawberry. With a strawberry sauce and a strawberry and coconut cream. The base was delicious and super healthy of course. One of miss Magics recipes. cacao nibs, sesame seeds, dessicated coconut, coconut oil, and a super healthy green powder as well as an antioxidant packed strawberry powder. The cacao nibs made the base really crunchy. Filling made out of raw cacao butter and powder, cashew nuts, strawberries, lucuma, mesquite and carob. All sweetened with wonderful coconut sugar.
Please feel free to email me and find out more about our raw pop up restaurant. And book yourself in for the next one.
Much love and Light to you all. xxx
